24BC8000T-5 - 24 Volt 8.0 Amp XLR Battery Charger for Quantum 4Front, J4, Q6 Edge Series & R-TRAK Power Chairs

This 24 volt, 8.0 amp XLR battery charger is a more affordable, high quality alternative to Pride's ELE2002993 8 amp charger for Quantum Rehab power chairs, including the 4Front 2, J4, Q6 Edge 2.0, Q6 Edge 2.0 X, Q6 Edge 3, Q6 Edge HD, Q6 Edge Z and R-TRAK. It has the same 24 volt, 8 amp output and plugs into the chair's XLR charging port, at a fraction of the cost of the Quantum-branded charger.

It's made by Universal Power Group (UPG), a respected supplier of batteries and chargers to the medical and mobility industry, and it isn't a generic knock-off: this same UPG charger is the factory charger on several Pride Mobility scooters, including the Pride Raptor, Baja Raptor 2 and Wrangler series. It's rated for 24 volt battery sets from 27 Ah to 80 Ah, which covers the Group 24 (75 Ah) batteries used on these Quantum chairs.

Set the Gel/AGM switch to match your batteries. Quantum's factory nano-silica batteries and gel batteries use the Gel setting. AGM batteries, including the UPG replacement packs we sell, use the AGM setting. Charging time varies with how deeply the batteries are discharged.

Please note: unlike the Pride ELE2002993, this charger does not have the low inhibit feature that keeps the chair from driving while the charger is connected. Always turn the chair off before charging, and unplug the charger before driving away.

• Short Circuit Protection - Prevents damage if the output is shorted, and recovers on its own once the fault is removed.
• Reverse Polarity Protection - Prevents damage if the positive and negative connections are reversed.
• Fully Automatic 3-Stage Charging - Bulk charge, absorption and float. The charger switches to float mode when the batteries are full, so it can stay connected without overcharging.
• Low Voltage Protection - The charger will not start charging a battery below a preset voltage.
• LED Display - Shows power on, charging and charged status.
• Lightweight Switch-Mode Design - Much lighter than older linear chargers.
